Silk Road merchants navigated desert crossings by the stars, using the astrolabe, a Persian instrument of engraved and decorated metal that mapped the night sky. This earring carries that same form, a hammered gold disc with a raised surface, a faceted stone suspended above it like a fixed point of light, both moving independently with each step. Available in smoky quartz, blue topaz or labradorite.
